In yoga philosphy, one of the niyamas (internal ethics) is saucha which means purity. This niyama asks us to keep our mind, body and spirit clean. The reason for this is so that we can become a clear channel to something greater than ourselves – to connect to our highest potential and the divine.
When we are full of mind clutter, toxins and other debris, we feel weighed down and cloudy. When we detox, and clean up our mental, emotional, and physical clutter, and we are mindful of keeping our space and ourselves clean – we experience more clarity, lightness and vitality.
When we think of spring, we often associate this with spring cleaning. It’s a time to clear out the clutter that accumulated during winter and it is symbolic of new beginnings, a fresh start.
In this workshop, we are going to dive deeper into Saucha and look at the ways we can cleanse our mind, body and spirit:
🪶 Energetic cleansing of ourselves and our space
🪶 Purifying breathwork for the body, the aura & biofield and our mind
🪶 Yin Yang Yoga - Vinyasa to generate heat in the body for suppleness, purification and transformation then slowing down with a detoxing yin yoga sequence
🪶 Bring your mind, body and spirit back to a state of harmony with a sound bath including crystal quartz singing bowls, tuning forks, koshi chimes and more.
🪶 Detox tea
Please bring a journal if you would like to take note on the practices so you can continue to do them at home.
