The Four Directions: Yin Yoga & Sound Bath

  • Sacred Yoga Caringbah 6 Park Lane Caringbah, NSW, 2229 Australia (map)

In this workshop, we’ll be exploring the four directions North, South, East and West from both a yogic and shamanic perspective. In a shamanic medicine wheel, the notion of connecting to the archetypal energies of the 4 directions is not only a ceremonial practice, it’s based off a universal framework to view the natural, but not always linear, progression of consciousness. It helps us to understand what we cannot physically see or understand on our healing journey.

We’ll be looking at the four directions and their archetypes of power animals, elements and Father Sky and Mother Earth. The medicine wheel represents life stages, interconnectedness, balance, and the universe. It ultimately helps us to create sacred space and find our centre.

The workshop will include:

  • Opening Sacred Space, calling in the four directions, mother earth and father sky.

  • Cacao

  • Yin Yoga themed to each direction and learning about their significance to our lives while in the postures

  • Sound Bath including crystal quartz singing bowls, koshi chimes, drums, tuning forks, rain sticks, other percussion instruments and more.

You’ll leave feeling connected, balanced and more in a state of harmony physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually, as well as full of wisdom to integrate into your life.
