Breathwork and Shamanic Meditation: Calling in the ancestors

  • Zen Den Studio 54 Kingston Street Oak Flats, NSW, 2529 Australia (map)

Join me for a special evening of breathwork and shamanic meditation. As a group, we will create an intention for connecting more deeply to ourselves and to the wisdom of our ancestors to receive inner guidance.

Connecting with our ancestors can be a powerful way to gain guidance, and healing on our personal and spiritual paths. In many shamanic traditions, ancestral connection is a central practice.

Our ancestors are not separate from us. They are intertwined in our lives. We carry their memories and their DNA and their beliefs, memories, past, values, traumas and behaviours can be stored in our bodies and minds. To connect with our ancestors can be a powerful source of healing to either break patterns or to feel supported and guided on our path.

It is also a way to connect deeper to our roots and spirituality, as well as the land we live on.

A shamanic meditation journey is what happens when meditation meets storytelling. Through tapping into different brainwave states through guided relaxation, the journeyer is brought into a storyboard of meeting different characters (power animals), archetypes or symbols. You’ll journey to the lower world (subconscious), middle world (where we are now) and the upper world (higher consciousness, angelic realm, ancestral). The information perceived during the journey offers valuable insights and ways of overcoming mental, emotional and spiritual roadblocks.

Throughout the journey we will use the power of the breath to create an expansive field of awareness so that we may shift the mind, body, emotions, and the soul to that of which is in fullest alignment of who we are becoming.

The journey will begin with gentle stretching & movement as well as yogic pranayama and kundalini bioenergetic breathwork to relax and clear blocks. Then settle in to gentle yin (rebirthing) breathwork for the duration of your journey. This combination will allow you to drop into a relaxed, dreamlike state of being. Your parasympathetic nervous system will be activated, allowing deep relaxation and blocks to be released or cleared.

The calming effects on your nervous system will last well beyond the journey.

The journey will also include sound such as high purity crystal quartz sound bowls, koshi chimes and drums.

Most importantly, simply know and trust that you are the driver of your experience. All you need to do is remain open, and trust in whatever comes through for you.
